This matchup marks the 12th encounter between these powerhouse franchises in the World Series, their first clash since 1981. Fans looking to attend this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity are already feeling the pinch, with ticket prices climbing to unprecedented levels.
According to SeatGeek prices, tickets are averaging around $1,301 on the secondary market. With prices skyrocketing, some tickets have seen a 37% increase in just a day.
Game 3 at Yankee Stadium, the first World Series contest held in New York since 2009, is already the hottest ticket, with prices averaging an astonishing $6,203. For perspective, standing-room-only tickets are priced at $1,691, while actual seats start at $1,745.
Meanwhile, premium tickets to the games are priced between $20k and more than $33k each.
